Vice Director for Research and Co-Founder

He participates in the creation of the Neuroscience Center, as Director of Investigations. Currently he serves as Vice Director for Research. It is responsible for directing the institution science policy, guiding the Scientific Council, establishing and monitoring the guidelines related to the researchers training, bioethics, productivity indicators and scientific innovation.

He is a permanent advisor of the Clinical and Applied Neurosciences Directors in the process of defining strategic R & D projects as well as planning and coordinating cost / effectiveness studies.

Peter is a graduate of the Havana University Faculty of Medicine and has two doctorates in science; the last one was awarded by the Cuban Academy of Sciences, where he is a permanent member. Peter is also co-organizer of the National Network of Clinical Neurophysiology and member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba.

He is Distinguished Professor of Neuroinformatics at the Key Laboratory for Neuroinformation University of Electronic Science and Technology of Chengdu, China. Program director of the Organization for Human Brain Mapping and Coordinator of the Latin American Brain Mapping Network, LABMAN.
